I weighed myself on Tuesday this week. Monday weigh in slipped my mind. Our dog was acting sick or hurt, and I had to follow her around the back yard to collect poo for the vet. Needless to say, I forgot to weigh myself. I weighed in at 148 again. Watching my fat content helped. I weighed myself this morning for good measure and to make sure I was posting an accurate weight, and I weighed 147.
I am going to enjoy myself on Thanksgiving, and will put the diet on hold. I will not be weighing in next week. I will start up again the following Monday. One thing I believe is important about dieting is to not hold back from too many things you want to eat. Deprivation will lead to eating the entire pumpkin pie late while everyone is asleep because I can't take the pressure from not eating the pie. I am going to watch portions and not gorge, but I will eat what I want and when I am hungry. If I want to try a bit of every dessert, I will, but I will have small portions of each. If I want to eat sweet potatoes with marshmallows, I will. If I want to butter my rolls, garsh darnit, I will. One day is not going to ruin the diet for me. I will be back on the bandwagon by Saturday.
